10^th January 2012	Fixture updates CANCELLATION OF NETBALL AND HI-FIVE SESSIONS DURING JANUARY ARE AS FOLLOWS. Skylights and Phoenix sessions cancelled from Monday 09^th January and re-commence on 30^th January at 7-9pm. HI-Fives cancelled from Tuesday 10^th January and re-commence on 31^st January 5.15-6.30pm Royals and Roses cancelled from Tuesday 10^th January and re-commence 31^st January 6.30 - 8pm. ALL SESSIONS CANCELLED DUE TO SCHOOL EXAMS IN THE SPORTS HALL

3^rd December 2011	Merseyside Junior League The games due to be held on Wednesday 7^th December 11 have been postponed until Saturday 7^th January 12 due to the hall being used for school exams. All fixtures will remain the same on the re-scheduled date.
30^th November 2011	Junior League Next Junior League games are on Saturday 10th December at Kirkby Ball Hall. U14's = Royals v Capricorn 1 at 10:50 Roses have a bye so no game for them. U16's = Phoenix v Galaxy at 11:40 Hi-Fives = Wirral Lightening v Chesterfield Wirral Lightening cancelled game. Please note all girls need to arrive 30 minutes before the start of their game and should bring £1 subs towards umpires fee.
10^th November 2011	Merseyside Satellite Academy Back row, right. Lucy, Aleasha and Nicole all played in Blackburn on 5th November 2011 representing the Merseyside Satellite Academy. .
4^th November 2011	Training cancellations. The training scheduled for the following dates has been cancelled due to Exams being held in the Chesterfield Sports College Hall. Monday 7^th November. Tuesday 8^th November. Monday 14^th November. Tuesday 15^th November. Training resumes on Monday 21^st November for Phoenix and Skylights. 10^th June 2011	A change to the Chesterfield Summer League fixtures. There will be no games on Wednesday 15th June 2011 due to the Sefton Sports Council Awards Evening being held on that day. The games scheduled for the 15th June will be take place the following week. This means all Chesterfield Summer League fixtures have been put back by one week. 14^th May 2011	Well done to the Roses who won the U13 section of the Junior League 07/05. Jennifer, in the wheelchair, who has just had an operation on her knee, was determined not to miss the last game even if she couldn't play. Congratulations Chesterfield Roses.
14^th May 2011	Congratulations to the U13's Winners - Chesterfield Roses, and the U16's Winners - Chesterfield Skylights. More Congratulations to all the girls from Roses, Royals, Tigers and Skylights who braved some appalling weather conditions and travelled to promote the game of Netball. Well done girls.

22^nd January 2011	Netball Pink Week. North West Netball has teamed up with CANCER RESEARCH and RACE FOR LIFE to raise money for the world's leading charity dedicated to beating Cancer. They are asking all the Netball Leagues / Clubs / Schools in the North West to support the Netball Pink Week by asking all players to donate £1 and wear something pink when playing netball in the week, 24^th - 30^th January 2011. Chesterfield Netball Club is supporting this initiative and ask that you all bring an extra £1 with you next week to make a contribution. The Weekend 2011 is a new exciting edition to the CYP programme. The event is an opportunity for girls from across the country to come together in a safe and comfortable environment, to try out new activities, brush up on skills and meet new friends. This event is the launch of CYP's initiative to increase girl's participation in positive activities in general and more specifically within the CYP programme. 10^th July 2010	Winwood Breast Cancer tournament. Chesterfield Gems entered the Winwood Breast Cancer tournament on 19th June 2010 and they raised over £2000. Winwood played fantastic and were the winners on the day. Well done to all teams involved.
10^th July 2010	Bringing Merseyside Together. Chesterfield teams played in the "Bringing Merseyside Together" Charity tournament on the 26th June 2010 on the Wirral. The tournament was in memory of "Patricia Rooke" ( Lorna's mum. The North West Development Officer. ) who passed away from Breast Cancer two years ago. Over £1,000 was raised and was a fantastic day. 10^th July 2010	Merseyside Junior Summer League 2010. Chesterfield Royals. Chesterfield Roses win the U12's. Formby win the U14's. Well done to both teams.

29^th June 2010	Congratulations to Kristina Maguire [UKCC Level 2 coach] for being nominated for North West Coach of the year award. Kristina has coached all age groups at Chesterfield. As the Merseyside Community Coach among her responsibilities is coaching at both the Liverpool and Wirral Satellite Academies. She also coaches the Liverpool University teams who play in the B.U.C.S. League.

16^th May 2010	Congratulations to Rachel Miller, Jenny Winder and Tracy Moorcroft who all passed their UKCC Level 1 Coaching certificate on Saturday 8^th May 2010. "Well done girls."
24^th April 2010	Our Fundraising event. 20^th April 2010. Helping towards our affiliation fees for the 2010/2011 season. We had 2 divisions, Junior & Senior, including the Skylights. The night was brilliant with the Cherries winning the junior section and ladies from Gems, Blues and Sapphires, a mixed team, taking on the challenge to play the "Men" and winning the final 9-8. Included in the men's team was Jon, Mike, dad's from the Roses team, partners of senior players and Noel Quarless who runs fitness sessions for senior players during the closed season. A BIG THANK YOU to all who took part, particularly to the parents who played. Also a thank you to the fantastic supporters who braved the bitter wind to watch the senior final. Do we have a budding "Men's" team in our midst ? That is the question on many peoples lips this evening. Photos in the Photo gallery.
24^rd April 2010	Chesterfield Sapphires promoted. Chesterfield Sapphires won the Liverpool Winter League this season and have been promoted to Division 2. Well done girls. We all look forward to next season when we will enjoy a division 2 clash between Chesterfield Blues and Chesterfield Sapphires.
23^rd April 2010	Umpiring course. The Umpiring course held on the 17^th April 2010 was delivered by Karen Simpson to 18 girls aged between 13-15yrs. Everyone had a brilliant day. They were in the classroom studying the rules etc from 10:00 to 12:00. After lunch they put into practice their new knowledge and understanding of the discipline with ""Hands on" experience under the guidance of Karen. A big "Thank you" to Karen from all the girls and also to Rachel Smith from Clubs for Young People who sponsored the event. Photos in the Photo gallery.

26^th February 2010	Netball C-Award Umpires course. Gemma Roe, Tracy Moorcroft, Rachel Smith all attended this course held at St Peter & Paul Sports College, Widnes from 12:00 to 18:00 on Saturday 20^th February. Well done girls.
16^th February 2010	A BIG Thank you. to Gemma Roe's mum. Being a Derbyshire Netball coach her hints, tips and advice to the Gems at half time on Sunday 14th February helped tremendously and came so close to snatching a Victory from a Defeat. "Thank you" for your help and advice.
16^th February 2010	England v Australia Friday 19^th February 2010 Please meet at the Riverside entrance no later than 18:15 this Friday, 19th February. Tracy, Rita, Jenny and Lorraine will be there to escort you to your seats. The game is scheduled to finish at around 20:15 so pick-up should be arranged for about 20:30 at the same entrance. We want to hear your support for ENGLAND. "Come on England"
16^th February 2010	"Congratulations" to Hannah Morris for playing a stormer at Centre in her debut game for Chesterfield Gems on Sunday 14^th February 2010. "Well done Hannah."
31^st January 2010	Umpiring Course. Have you ever wanted to go on an Umpiring Course ? This is your chance. The CCNC are organising with Rachel Smith of "Clubs for Young People", an umpiring course for those aged 14 to 18 years old. We have held this course in the past and it has been very successful. Many of our girls/women now officiate on many occasions in many leagues. If you want to get even more involved in Netball, the game we all love, this is your golden opportunity. 20^th January 2010	Umpiring assessment. Kristina Maguire. On Saturday 16th January, Kristina of the Chesterfield Gems travelled to Woodford Lodge in Winsford, Cheshire to umpire a game in the Cheshire Elite League. During this game she was assessed by Mary Slade and Chris McCall. She was given some positive feedback and some areas that require further development were highlighted. It had been a long and memorable day. Kristina gives her thanks to both Karen Chauhan and Karen Simpson for mentoring her in their limited spare time. Their hard work is highly valued and greatly appreciated.
8^th November 2009	UKCC Level 2 Coaching. Jon May, Jackie Wright, Kristina Maguire and Rita Maguire have all passed their UKCC Level 2 Coaching courses. The course was held at Wirral Grammar School for Girls over the weekends of 19th & 20th September, 10th & 11th October with a final external assessment day on 31st October. Well done everyone. The "UKCC Level 2 Coaching" course was financed from a grant provided by "Awards For All".
21^st October 2009	A BIG Thank you. All at the CCNC want to give Rita Mansley a Skylight mum, a big "Thank you" for her active support. As a result of Rita selling Football cards to people in her office she was able to hand Lorraine ( our Treasurer ) a very nice donation to our funds. Thank you Rita.

15^th October 2009	Training sessions. All Netball training sessions for Mondays & Tuesdays at Chesterfield are cancelled for Half Term, w/c 26/10/09. Also cancelled are the sessions w/c 02/11/09 - w/c 09/11/09 due to the Sports Hall being used for exams. Training will re-commence on Monday 16/11/09. Time to be advised as this session will be for 1.5 hrs instead of 2 hrs.
24^th September 2009	Barbados 2010. Chesterfield Community Netball Club are planning a Netball Holiday to Barbados for two teams. 1, Under 21's 2, Seniors The trip is from Sunday 24/10/2010, arriving home Monday 01/11/2010. A £100 deposit is required by Sunday 27/09/2009. Cheques made payable to K.M.MAGUIRE. All future cheques to be made payable to Chesterfield Netball Club. 1st installment £100 to be paid by 30/11/2009 2nd installment £100 to be paid by 01/02/2010 3rd installment £150 to be paid by 01/03/2010 4th installment £150 to be paid by 01/04/2010 Final balance of £150 to be paid by 30/05/2010 Insurance and food is not included in the above cost. 15^th September 2009	Netball "Appointed person" First Aid course. Rita Maguire, Jan Cartmel, Kristina Maguire, Jayne McLaughlin, Lorraine Draper, Ellie Haines, Jess Maher, Dominique Mansley, Jessica Taylor and Lydia McGreavy all passed the Netball "Appointed person" First Aid course on Saturday 12^th September 2009. 28^th August 2009	Fees for Sept 2009 - July 2010 The fee from September 2009 until July 2010, for Juniors, including current Year 9's will be £2.00p per week. Current Year 10's to Seniors will be £3.00 per week. Fee increases have been kept to a minimum but are required to offset League and Umpires fees incurred by our participation.
28^th August 2009	Getting to I M Marsh A train goes straight through from Crosby to St. Michaels station in Aigburth. The link below shows the route by road to Barkhill Road. Do not enter the Barkhill Road entrance to IM Marsh [it is bollard controlled]. Drive to the top of Barkhill Road and turn right. Take the 2^nd entrance into the Campus and the Sports Hall. 28^th August 2009	Safeguarding & Protecting Children Jackie Wright, Lorraine Draper, Ashley Wright, Jenny Winder and Rita Maguire attended a "UKCC Safeguarding & Protecting Children" workshop on Wednesday 26^th August at Litherland Sports Park. The Safeguarding & Protecting Children workshop was financed from a grant provided by "Awards For All".

12^th July 2009	Merseyside County Satellite & Academy Screening Days. All Clubs and Schools have been invited to attend the following screening days. Saturday 19^th September 2009 Pensby Boys School/Wirral Saturday 26^th September 2009 Greenbank Sports College/Liverpool This year there will be TWO Merseyside Academies based on Wirral and Liverpool. The academy will be delivering the England Netball excel pathway in order to develop players, to provide opportunities and links with other North West Academies. They will be looking for approximately 20-25 Players from each age band to go through to the academies and will be working towards entrance into the England Netball High Performance. Clubs and Schools are invited to send approximately 6 players per age group. It gives me great pleasure to announce that after months of consultation and many meetings we are now at the point where the website for Chesterfield Community Netball Club (C.C.N.C.) has been released live. The primary function of this website is to keep all members of the C.C.N.C. informed of all aspects of the Netball community in which we get involved and to more easily point you to the wider arena of our sport. It will further show the outside world how we strive to enhance the Netball experience of all the individuals within the C.C.N.C. in a safe, encouraging, competitive and friendly manner.
